On 27 July 2012, the eyes of the world will be upon London, as the lighting of the Olympic flame marks the opening of the XXX Olympiad. To mark this auspicious occasion, Royal Mail announce a special Miniature Sheet that integrates four Olympic disciplines with four iconic London landmarks.
This was created by first commissioning photography of the Tate Modern, Tower Bridge, the Olympic Stadium and the London Eye; while at the same time capturing the Olympic disciplines of diving, fencing, athletics and cycling.
The combined results are four stunning stamps that merge the excitement of Olympic competition with the iconography of the capital.
